City Gets $1-Million Grant to Build Housing
From Times Staff Reports
Oxnard has received a $1-million grant from the state to build affordable housing. The grant, to be matched by the city, is earmarked for construction of multifamily rental housing.
The grant should enable the city to assist nearly 60 low-income families with housing construction, city Housing Director Sal Gonzalez said.
Families of four with annual incomes of less than $23,200 would receive priority in obtaining the housing, Gonzalez said.
