Aaron Baddeley shot his way into a share of the third-round lead at the Chrysler Classic of Tucson with an eight-under 64 Saturday.

He and Heath Slocum took different routes to reach 15-under 201.

Baddeley, who began the round six strokes behind, carded eight birdies and no bogeys on a cool, gusty day. Slocum bogeyed the last hole and turned in a 70 the day after his 64 earned him a one-shot lead heading into the third round.

Mike Heinen had a 65 to stay within a shot.

Annika Sorenstam, playing in her first tournament of the year, shot a 65 to win the ANZ Ladies Masters by four strokes today at Gold Coast, Australia. Her 19-under-par total of 269 made her a three-time winner of the event. She also won in 1995 and 2002. Karen Stupples, who trailed Sorenstam by a shot after three rounds, finished second after a 68.

Martha Burk regrets that she did not allow herself to get arrested by picketing outside the gates of Augusta National last year but said Saturday there is no point returning to protest the club’s all-male membership in April.

“Our plans are basically pretty set; we’re not going to do it,” said Burk, head of the National Council of Women’s Organizations. “There’s no point repeating last year if we’re going to be stuck in a hole.”
