Theaters will change leaders

Share

Theaters in Denver and Washington have announced changes in artistic leadership.

Donovan Marley will leave Denver Center Theatre Company in mid-2005, after 21 seasons as artistic director of Colorado’s most prominent theater company. Prior to his Denver job, Marley, 67, spent 19 seasons running the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Santa Maria and Solvang. He’ll remain a consultant to the Denver company and will participate in the search for a successor.

Paul Tetreault has been named producing director of Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C., replacing the late Frankie Hewitt, who had run the theater where Lincoln was killed since it was re-opened for live theatrical productions in the ‘60s. Tetreault is managing director of the Alley Theatre in Houston.
