Burglar Arrested 4 Days After Release
Four days after she was freed from jail, where she served time for burglary, a Moorpark woman was arrested on suspicion of breaking into homes in the same residential area where she initially got into trouble, authorities said Friday.
Barbara Cox, 30, was being held on $50,000 bail following her arrest Thursday, authorities said. In late July, she was convicted of burglarizing homes in the Varsity Park community of Moorpark. After five months, she was released from jail Sunday.
On Tuesday, three homeowners in the same Moorpark neighborhood reported seeing Cox inside their homes or trying to enter, allegedly in search of prescription drugs, authorities said.
