Officials Seeking Fix for Smelly Sulfur Spring

From Times Wire Reports

City officials may soon know what to do about a foul-smelling spring that erupted after the San Simeon earthquake.

The ancient hot spring burst through the surface just after the Dec. 22 earthquake and began spewing water and sulfur into the City Hall parking lot.

City officials hired a Pasadena firm to study the spring. Last week the firm finished taking ground temperature readings around it. Those data are expected to be analyzed this week.
