Fireplace Pollution

The editorial about clean air, and the Bush/EPA doublespeak about their intentions (July 1), omits a key element: individual responsibility. Most of the highly toxic particulate matter along the coast of California comes from wood-burning fireplaces and barbecue pits. The people want pollution.
