From Times Staff Reports

After a two-hour discussion, the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday put off a vote on whether to place a sales tax increase on the November ballot.

Four of the five supervisors appear to favor submitting the measure, which would raise the county’s sales tax to 8.75% to help fund law enforcement, to voters. But they requested several minor changes to the proposal, which will be revised and presented again Tuesday.
