McCaw Starts Wireless Internet Service for PCs

Craig McCaw, who became a billionaire by building the first nationwide U.S. cellular telephone company and selling it to AT&T; Corp., said he had set up a venture to begin selling wireless Internet service to personal computer owners.

The Clearwire service will start in Jacksonville, Fla., in a few months, McCaw said. It plans to expand to other U.S. markets and internationally within a year, he said.
