The Source held in contempt

Hip-hop magazine the Source has been held in contempt of court and ordered to pay Eminem’s legal fees for violating a court order by publishing the lyrics of two of the rapper’s early, racially charged songs.

U.S. District Judge Gerard Lynch ruled late Wednesday that the Source violated a court ruling from last year that prohibited the magazine from reprinting the lyrics or putting the full recordings on its website.

The postings, involving two songs Eminem wrote before his stardom, were removed in January.
