Storm Wins Its Fifth in a Row

Lauren Jackson scored 18 points and Betty Lennox 13 to give the Seattle Storm its fifth consecutive victory, a 69-63 win over the Comets in front of 7,409 at Houston.

Sheryl Swoopes tied her career high with 33 points for Houston and surpassed 3,000 career points. She was 14 for 25 from the field, playing all 40 minutes for the Comets, who were missing injured leading scorer Tina Thompson. Houston had won three in a row.

Charlotte 63, Connecticut 58 -- The Sting’s Allison Feaster scored five of her 14 points in overtime, including the tiebreaking basket, to beat the Sun in front of 5,283 at Uncasville, Conn.

Connecticut dropped its second consecutive game in overtime and is 0-4 in bonus time since the franchise moved from Orlando last year.

Nykesha Sales scored all 19 of her points for the Sun in the second half.
