From Times Staff and Wire Reports

A proposed housing development in southern Lake County is stirring controversy among the area’s residents.

A Sonoma County developer wants to build 415 homes on a 150-acre former Arabian horse ranch five miles north of Middletown. The development would have a mixed-used commercial complex and would be built over three to five years.

But neighbors worry the proposed development will create traffic congestion and sprawl.
