Polls will be open today from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.

* To find your polling place, call the Orange County registrar of voters at (714) 567-7600. The information is also available online at the registrar’s website, www.oc.ca.gov/election. Click on the “polling places” button. A map showing your polling place is also available, along with a sample ballot.

* Absentee ballots must be received by the registrar’s office -- 1300 S. Grand Ave., Building C, Santa Ana -- or by any polling place by 8 p.m. today.

* Three political parties are allowing voters not registered with a party to request and vote their party’s ballot: American Independent, Democratic (all candidates except county central committee candidates) and Republican (all candidates except presidential and county central committee candidates).

* If you have recently moved to a new address in the same county and you have not updated your information, you may still vote with a provisional ballot. You must first find your new polling place.

* If you have recently moved to a new address in a new county and have not re-registered, you may not vote.
