Firefighters Test Positive for Marijuana, Alcohol
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Two firefighters suspended last week after a firehouse raid have tested positive for banned substances -- one for marijuana and the other for alcohol, fire officials said.
A surprise raid was conducted by fire officials Thursday on Station 6 in the Castro district after allegations surfaced that drinking was taking place on duty.
The San Francisco Fire Department’s blood alcohol limit is 0.02%, which is much stricter than the motorist limit of 0.08%.
