Authorities Identify Homicide Victim Found North of Ojai
A homicide victim found in Lockwood Valley has been identified as Randy Lynn Garner, authorities said Tuesday.
Garner’s last known residence was in the San Luis Obispo area, said Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Eric Nishimoto.
The victim’s body, wrapped in a tarp, was found Saturday off Lockwood Valley Road north of Ojai. Garner had been strangled.
Nishimoto said it appeared the body had not been there more than a week when it was found. He would not say whether Garner had been killed there or elsewhere. Garner would have turned 32 on Monday, the day of his autopsy.
