‘Bonnie and Clyde’ Bank Robbers Hunted
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A man and a woman, nicknamed the “Bonnie and Clyde bandits” by the FBI, are suspected of robbing two Bank of America branches in the Valley and several other area businesses, authorities said Wednesday.
In the bank holdups, the man handed tellers demand notes while the woman stood close behind, FBI spokeswoman Laura Bosley said. In seven other robberies of commercial establishments, the woman often brandished the gun, Bosley said.
Targeted businesses included a shoe store, drugstores and beauty salons.
