Fundraiser for Carpenter Center’s educational programs

Singer-songwriter Richard Carpenter will play host at the second annual Top of the World celebration at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach today, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
A fundraiser for the center’s 10th anniversary Initiative and Classroom Connections educational outreach program, the event features an “Arts in Education Hero of the Year” awards ceremony, a catered reception, silent auction, dinner and performances by Carpenter and others.
Tickets start at $150.
