CNBC’s Louis Rukeyser Out for Several Months

Share

CNBC said its Friday-night host Louis Rukeyser would remain off the air for the foreseeable future as the financial journalist continues treatment for what he called a “low-grade malignancy.”

A rotating lineup of CNBC anchors has been filling in since the host’s last appearance on “Louis Rukeyser’s Wall Street” on Oct. 31, when he took a leave from the show for surgery to treat back pain. The malignancy was discovered later. He said in a statement that “tests indicate that a complete recovery is in the cards” but that doctors wouldn’t let him return to work for several more months.
