Defense Wants Peterson Trial Relocated to L.A.
Scott Peterson’s defense attorneys filed a motion Monday seeking a second change of venue for the double-murder trial, claiming that an impartial jury cannot be seated in Northern California because potential panelists are intimately involved in the case.
Defense attorney Mark Geragos wants the case moved to Los Angeles County, where he practices law and where he says media saturation has not been as intense.
Peterson could face the death penalty or life without parole if he is convicted of killing his pregnant wife and the son she was carrying.
