Deficit May Cause Layoffs at Junior College

Budget woes at a Santa Rosa college may force the school to begin what is believed to be its first round of layoffs since the school opened 86 years ago.
Officials at Santa Rosa Junior College say they may have to lay off a dozen employees in order to balance the 2004-05 budget. The school faces a deficit of $5.2 million, college officials said.
