Jones’ Looking For Chicks Pulls a Fast One

Looking For Chicks, who is owned by Vessels Stallion Farm and trained by Paul Jones, was the fastest qualifier for the $350,000 Kindergarten Futurity, which will be run May 15.

One of three 2-year-old Jones qualified for the Grade I, Looking For Chicks completed 300 yards in 15.35 seconds while winning his trial Saturday. Jones’ other qualifiers were Sassy Corona (15.43) and La Jolla Ca (15.43).

The winner’s share of the Kindergarten purse is $147,000. The winner of the race will be eligible for a $1-million bonus if they also win the Ed Burke Memorial Futurity and Los Alamitos Million later in the year.
