Banking on variety

Get ready to open the Vault. The new Long Beach nightclub, the Vault 350, makes its debut on May 28 with a performance by Johnny Lang. Located at a historic 1920s bank building that most recently was the Latin club Leonardo’s, the Vault 350 is a three-level, state-of-the-art nightclub with a 1,500 capacity. Former Key Club talent buyer Damian Brawner -- who also books the Malibu Inn and the Santa Barbara Coach House (also owned by Vault 350’s Mitchell Stewart) -- is heading a team of bookers who plan to offer everything from punk to country. ... Clubland cutie Kirsten Dunst celebrated her birthday at El Centro last Thursday. Among the stars at the lowdown Hollywood nightclub were her beau Jake Gyllenhaal, producer Pharrell Williams, Scott Caan, Desmond Harrington and Eliza Dushku.

Revelry recovery

Right about now everyone on the scene is shaking off last night’s Cinco De Mayo fiestas (burp). Las Palmas celebrated its fourth anniversary on Wednesday night, and Xes, which had a saucy Sauza-sponsored Cinco de Mayo bash, with DJ Gomez spinning hip-hop.... And speaking of Xes, Saturday’s hot club, Fame, last week entertained the likes of Jamie Foxx, Lionel Richie, Wilmer Valderrama, Mila Kunis and Seth Green.... The famed Euro rock party, Death Disco, makes its way to L.A. on Saturday and Sunday at Little Pedro’s in downtown. Headed up by rock vets Alan McGee and BP Fallon, the rock, glam and punk party is a weekly affair in London and just launched monthly in New York. Death Disco is known for harnessing such guest DJs as Courtney Love, Kate Moss, Shane MacGowan and the White Stripes.

Gossip on Fridays

Famed scene go-go guy Sham is promoting a Friday-night dance club called Gossip, which is located at the cool WeHo dive Revolver.... DJ Paul V. is taking his show to MJ’s in Silver Lake. After making Rage in WeHo come alive on Mondays, Paul is taking it to the east side for MegaMondays, a night of hot mash-ups, bootlegs and good times.
