* Canadian brewer Molson Inc., concerned about having sufficient shareholder support to complete its proposed merger with Adolph Coors Co., said the companies had agreed to pay a special dividend to Molson’s shareholders.

* American Medical Security Group Inc. said the Federal Trade Commission had granted early termination of the waiting period for PacifiCare Health Systems Inc. to buy the health plan company for $502 million. American Medical, which is based in Green Bay, Wis., said it had set Dec. 2 as the date for its shareholders to vote on the deal, which values the company at $32.75 per share.

* DaimlerChrysler’s Chrysler set prices for its diesel-powered Jeep Liberty about $2,000 higher than comparable gasoline versions of the sport utility vehicle, seeking a premium for improved fuel-efficiency. Base prices for the two diesel versions will be $25,125 and $27,355, Auburn Hills, Mich.-based Chrysler said.
