A birthday sure to be pure Bliss

It’s a twisted take on “Happy Gilmore.” Promoter Chris Walley moved to L.A. to play pro hockey but ended up shooting for nightclubs. Walley -- the guy who pumped new life into Barfly -- celebrates his birthday tomorrow at Bliss, a restaurant and lounge in WeHo he promotes on Fridays. And we hear everyone from Hef to professional athletes is gonna be there.... For nearly four years, the Monday-night scene at Joseph’s Cafe in Hollywood was the ultimate star-drenched house party. Every week, the national tabloids ran scoops to see who showed up and what went down. After a successful run, promoter Brent Bolthouse decided to step it up and move the club to the sexy restaurant and nightclub Chi at the Hyatt in WeHo, where Justin Timberlake is a partner. Even mo’ better.

Baseball player Barry Bonds got in touch with his feminine side, cooking a sumptuous dinner for his wife at Yi Cuisine in L.A. last week. The Giants slugger donned an apron and made tuna tartare under the tutelage of Yi owner-chef Rod Agliobot....
