Putting in the Time

Re “State Wants Some to Punch Clock,” Nov. 11: To these greedy appointees on workplace-issues boards, an annual salary of $114,191 isn’t enough. In order to further enrich themselves, they consult on the side.

Claiming that they fulfill their duties in the face of reports that their workloads are backing up as much as two years is a slap in the face of every taxpayer. Give me the position and I’ll show up at the designated office and put forth the effort to do the job even if it requires 10- to 12-hour days.
