‘Polar’ opposites

Why all the negative press for “The Polar Express”? Even music critic Richard Cromelin managed to take a cheap stab at the movie in his review of Gwen Stefani’s new album [“First Solo Effort Leaves Some Doubt,” Nov. 23]. I took my family to see “The Polar Express” and we loved it! It was a charming story wrapped in the magic of Christmas and produced with outstanding creative animation. I guess that if “A Charlie Brown Christmas” were just released today, the critics would tear it apart.

My advice to anyone who has avoided “Polar Express” because of the media would be to go see it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
