Mobile Home Residents Sue Over Site’s Closure
From Times Staff Reports
Residents of a Dana Point mobile home park, one of the last such parks along Orange County’s coast, sued Thursday to stop its impending closure.
The suit was filed in Orange County Superior Court on behalf of two residents of the Dana Point Marina Mobile Home Park. Makar Properties bought the park in February; the city approved its closure last month.
The suit alleges that the city failed to conduct a full environmental review of the closure and its impact on low-cost housing in the city, as required by law.
