4 Arrested in Deadly Attack on U.S. Tourists
Four gunmen abducted and robbed three U.S. citizens on a rural highway in southern Mexico, then shot and killed two of them and dumped the third -- a pregnant woman -- bound and gagged from a moving car, authorities said.
Reynaldo Valdez, 22, of Houston, traveled to Guerrero state with Miami natives Ashley Linn Diniger, 16, and 22-year-old Vanessa Burgos, to visit Valdez’s mother in the city of Cutzamala de Pinzon, an investigator said.
Burgos survived the Thursday attack, and her testimony led to the arrests Friday of four men from Tierra Caliente.
