The Defense Department last week identified the following American military personnel killed in Iraq:

Nickalous N. Aldrich, 21, of Austin, Texas; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Aldrich died Aug. 27 in a nonhostile vehicle accident in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Carl L. Anderson Jr., 21, of Georgetown, S.C.; airman first class, Air Force. Anderson died Aug. 29 as a result of enemy action near Mosul. He was assigned to the 3rd Logistics Readiness Squadron, Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska.

Aaron N. Holleyman, 26, of Glasgow, Mont.; staff sergeant, Army. Holleyman died Monday in Khutayiah when his military vehicle hit an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group at Fort Campbell, Ky.

Edgar E. Lopez, 27, of Los Angeles; sergeant, Marine Corps. Lopez was killed Aug. 28 in enemy action in Babil province. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Luis A. Perez, 19, of Theresa, N.Y.; private first class, Army Reserve. Perez died Aug. 27 in Fallouja when his convoy vehicle hit an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 223rd Transportation Company in Norristown, Pa.

Nicholas Perez, 19, of Austin, Texas; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Perez was killed Friday in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms.

Omead H. Razani, 19, of Los Angeles; specialist, Army. Razani died Aug. 27 in Habbaniya of noncombat-related injuries. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division at Camp Greaves, South Korea.

Alan Rowe, 35, of Hagerman, Idaho; captain, Marine Corps. Rowe died Friday in enemy action in Al Anbar province. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms.

Nicholas M. Skinner, 20, of Davenport, Iowa; private first class, Marine Corps. Skinner died Aug. 26 of wounds received in enemy action in Najaf. He was assigned to Battalion Landing Team 1/4, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Joseph C. Thibodeaux, 24, of Lafayette, La.; specialist, Army. Thibodeaux was killed Wednesday in Hawija when his patrol came under enemy attack. He was assigned to Headquarters, Headquarters Company, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division (Light) at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
