Bill to Curb Spread of Arms Technology
From Times Wire Reports
Pakistan’s lower house of parliament approved a bill to control the spread of nuclear and biological weapons technology, the Foreign Ministry said.
The bill proposes that anyone who violates government control over such technology -- its transfer, production or stockpiling -- faces up to 14 years in prison. An offender could also be fined and his property confiscated.
The legislation has to be approved by Pakistan’s Senate before it can be implemented.
