Record vs. Burn -- 2-0-0.

Update -- Carlos Ruiz will not accompany the Galaxy to Dallas, Coach Steve Sampson announced Friday. Ruiz, who is tied for the MLS lead with 11 goals scored, suffered a strained right hamstring in Guatemala’s World Cup qualifying match against Honduras on Sept. 8 and the forward stayed in his native country through last weekend, missing the Galaxy’s 2-1 victory over San Jose with an unexcused absence. Ruiz’s injured leg was the lone factor in the decision to keep him home and it was not a suspension, Sampson said. Sampson is 1-1-1 since taking over for the fired Sigi Schmid on Aug. 18. The Galaxy has outscored the Burn, 7-2. Defenders Chris Aloisi (sprained left knee) and Hong Myung-Bo (strained left calf) and forward Jovan Kirovski (right knee tendinitis) are out.
