After reading all Carina Chocano’s words in those three columns [“Forever Heather,” Sept. 5] I feel I didn’t learn anything about Heather Locklear.

I learned that Chocano is probably the queen of hyphenated words and phrases: “Locklear-related,” “tough-guy,” “good-natured self-mockery,” “Sanrio-featured,” “two-decade-long, early Boomer,” “hard-working junior-level,” “extra-short,” “Ur-self-exploiting,” “go-to,” “id-monster,” “non-law-enforcing.” Whew, I stopped counting.

My opinion of Locklear is that she’s a pretty actress with staying power. Possibly that’s what Chocano’s article is saying, or maybe it’s an “intellectual abstraction.”
