Silver Slipper awaits

Those plastic water bottles seem here to stay. Now, at least one company has found a way to dress ‘em up for special occasions: Fiji’s ‘s hammered-silver water holder. Originally created for Donald Trump, the Fiji Silver Slipper was used exclusively on tabletops at Trump properties until pop star Jessica Simpson snapped it up for her wedding. After an influx of calls, Fiji decided to launch its Silver Slipper in L.A. The Slipper also keeps the bottle cold, and its weight keeps it from toppling over. Fiji’s look reflects the bottle’s shape, and it is designed to be eco- and travel friendly. Fiji says its bottles use less plastic than round ones, and have been designed to fit more easily into a backpacker’s gear. Available for $30 at www.fijiwater.com; Whole Foods Market will soon carry them too.
