Judith Regan plans L.A. move

Judith Regan, publisher of HarperCollins’ ReganBooks imprint, plans to move her publishing and media group to Los Angeles from New York by the end of the year to focus on TV and film projects.
Regan has produced bestsellers from a diverse group of celebrities, ranging from Gen. Tommy Franks to controversial baseball slugger Jose Canseco, and is executive producer for the A&E; cable series “Growing Up Gotti.”
She said she planned to continue publishing about 100 books a year but would expand her television and film work through a new contract that would also bring in HarperCollins Publishers Inc. and its parent company, News Corp., as investors.
