There’s Nothing Trivial About a Picture of a Bullet

Depicting actor Jason Bateman on the cover of the magazine (Men’s Fashion Issue, April 3) dallying with a bullet is impressively tasteless and ill-timed. Characterizing a bullet as an item of fashion and a trivial accouterment of life is out of place, especially in an edition with items about “collateral damage” in Los Angeles and Iraq, gang violence exported from L.A. throughout the hemisphere, mass murder in Minnesota, etc. Readers deserve an apology for your insensitivity.
