A few problems with Springsteen

Share

I always wanted my life to be like a movie. But seeing Robert Hilburn’s front-page story about another Bruce Springsteen triumph [“Acoustic Boss,” April 27], I realized the movie I’m living is “Groundhog Day.”

I thoroughly enjoyed Robert Hilburn’s review of Bruce Springsteen’s acoustic show. Unfortunately, that’s as close to actually experiencing it as I’ll ever get due to the unconscionable ticket practices that are going on in Los Angeles and, I suspect, the rest of the country as well.

I was already logged on with my Ticketmaster account, ready to order the very second the Pantages Theater tickets supposedly went on sale, only to find that no tickets were available. Miraculously, moments later any seat in the house was available from numerous ticket brokers at a cost of $2,875 to $3,000 per ticket. I’m a music industry veteran, and this makes me sick.
