The trading deadline has come and gone, and Paul DePodesta stated he was talking to many teams about deals. What happened to the $100-million payroll the fans were promised? Players from the last great Dodger team are currently coaching another L.A. team. Gone is the outfield wall with murals of Dodger greats.

My team has become a small-market club.

As this season’s Dodger team inches close to oblivion, Jim Tracy’s shortcomings as a manager become all the more apparent. In the last week, he has spoken about winning series, and picking up a game a week on the Padres. Give me a break! Jim Tracy is a nice guy but lacks the demeanor of a dynamic leader.

For weeks, the best opinions fans could come up with have been recycled garbage, like, “McCourt is cheap,” or “DePodesta should have done this, or that.” I would like to see how these people would respond to being the GM, or owner of the Dodgers.

Would you people really trade guys like Jackson, Billingsley, LaRoche, or Martin, for the Aubrey Huffs, Eric Byrneses or Austin Kearnses of the world? Or do the smart thing like save this supposed money the Dodgers have for free-agent acquisitions in the off-season?

McCourt and DePodesta have only run this team for 1 1/2 years and have already accomplished more when it comes to the postseason than the Fox ownership.
