Los Angeles Brewers? Well, Just a Thought

When Frank McCourt bought the Dodgers, the fear was he would turn the team into something like the Milwaukee Brewers -- a low-budget team incapable of competing for the World Series.

Looking at the current standings, I would gladly settle for the Dodgers to be as good as the Brewers.

I like Jim Tracy and he is certainly not responsible for the Dodgers’ collapse, but if he can just stop worrying about playing everybody, as if he were managing the All-Star game instead of playing for a playoff spot, that might help dispel the “micro manager” moniker.

Olmedo Saenz, Hee-Seop Choi, et al., can all come off the bench, late in games, as pinch-hitters, should that be appropriate.
