Top-seeded USC won its second NCAA men’s water polo title in three years Sunday, beating No. 2 Stanford, 3-2, on Pavol Valovic’s goal with 3:10 left in the lowest-scoring final.

“I just can’t believe that the game came down to just five goals,” USC Coach Jovan Vavic said. “I love games like this. I’m very proud of our guys.”

The Trojans (26-1) got a big save from goalie Adam Shilling with 54 seconds left to wrap up their third championship.
