Former TV Anchor Dies of Smoke Inhalation

A Bay Area television news anchor died of smoke inhalation when a fire swept through his home, officials said Monday.
The body of Doug Murphy, 53, who anchored KPIX-TV newscasts for years, was found after flames swept through the home Sunday night.
The cause of the blaze, which started in the home’s attic, was not immediately determined. From Times Staff and Wire Reports
