A man who took two family members hostage on Christmas Day and held police off for 16 hours surrendered Monday morning.

Roy Wilson, 50, was taken into custody at about 8 a.m., and the hostages were unharmed, said Officer April Harding.

Wilson allegedly stabbed his sister-in-law, who fled the home near Hoover and 85th streets, then held his wife and 3-year-old-daughter at knifepoint, Sgt. Catherine Plows said.
