Good move
Hats off to the Los Angeles Fire Department and city for banning parking on narrow hillside streets during red flag weather (Dec. 22-23).
As a retired L.A. County battalion chief, I can appreciate the frustration firefighters experience when they are unable to negotiate through neighborhoods to protect homes and property. I can assure you that those who complain the loudest will be the first in line demanding a fire engine in their driveway at the first hint of smoke.
