Westfield Mall to House Neiman Marcus, Target

Share

Luxury department store Neiman Marcus will share a shopping center with discounter Target Corp. for the first time anywhere when the makeover of Westfield Shoppingtown Topanga is complete, Westfield Group executives said.

The San Fernando Valley mall will soon undergo more than $300 million of improvements to add 600,000 square feet of space for 100 new specialty shops and restaurants, and a new Neiman Marcus, Target and Nordstrom. It also will include an atrium and cafe-style dining terrace.

The two-level Target will open when most of the upgrade, including additional parking, is completed in fall 2006. Nordstrom will then move to a new location in the 1.6-million-square-foot mall and Neiman Marcus will take over the former Nordstrom space in spring 2008. The other anchor stores will be Sears and Robinsons-May.
