Justice May Face a Fine Over Pocketknife
A state Supreme Court justice could be fined up to $6,000 on allegations of trying to sneak a small pocketknife past security at the Harrisburg International Airport, authorities said.
State and federal prosecutors have declined to file criminal charges against Justice Thomas G. Saylor, but a spokeswoman for the Transportation Security Administration said Saylor, 58, was likely to be fined.
Airport screeners found a small Swiss Army-style knife on Saylor’s keychain while he was on a trip to Philadelphia. He was told he could not carry it on board, but then reportedly tried to sneak it on in a carry-on bag.
