U.S. Military Announces 2 Deaths
The U.S. military Tuesday announced the deaths of a Marine and a soldier in separate vehicle accidents.
The Marine, assigned to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, was killed Tuesday in Al Anbar province, a statement released in Fallouja said.
The soldier, assigned to the 1st Corps Support Command, was killed Feb. 16 near Balad, according to a separate announcement.
The names of the Marine and the soldier were not immediately released.
More than 1,475 U.S. service members have died since the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003.
