“Finding Neverland,” “Million Dollar Baby,” “Sideways,” “The Aviator” and “The Incredibles” were nominated Wednesday by the Producers Guild of America for the Darryl F. Zanuck producer of the year award. The award has been one of the bellwethers for the Academy Awards. Over the last 14 years, only two films that didn’t win the Producers Guild award -- 1992’s “Unforgiven” and 1995’s “Braveheart” -- went on to receive the best picture Oscar.

On the small-screen side, “Angels in America,” “Horatio Hornblower,” “Ike,” “The Lion in Winter” and “Something the Lord Made” were nominated for long-form television; “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “Nip/Tuck,” “Six Feet Under,” “The Sopranos” and “The West Wing” are the nominees for episodic drama; “Arrested Development,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm, “ “Scrubs,” “Sex and the City” and “Will & Grace” were nominated for comedy series.

The winners will be announced at an awards dinner on Jan. 22 at the Culver Studios.
