BOYS’ BASKETBALL

* Jordan Block and Kyle Gordein, Claremont: Block scored 27 points, including 12 on three-point baskets, and had six rebounds, four assists and three blocked shots, and Gordein scored nine of his 19 points in the fourth quarter to help the Wolfpack beat Ontario, 68-57, despite 39 points, including 21 on three-pointers, by the Jaguars’ Keith Wiltz.

* Larry Gordon and Nate Richardson, Montclair: Gordon drove the baseline for a basket, was fouled and made a free throw to complete a three-point play with five seconds left that gave the Cavaliers a 66-65 nonleague victory over Alta Loma. Gordon finished with 18 points. Richardson scored 10 of his 14 points in the second half.

* Stedman Merritt and Brandon Davis, Ontario Colony: Merritt had 33 points and Davis added 21 as the Titans routed Rancho Cucamonga, 94-61, in a nonleague game.

* Taylor King and Mike Gerrity, Santa Ana Mater Dei: King had 27 points and 12 rebounds and Gerrity added 18 points as the Monarchs, ranked No. 4 by The Times, defeated Philadelphia (Penn.) Simon Gratz, 60-46, in the Winter Hardwood Classic in Pleasantville, N.Y.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

* Courtney Price and Atonye Nyingifa, Redondo: Price and Nyingifa each hit key baskets in the final three minutes as the Seahawks (11-3), ranked No. 21 by The Times, held off Torrance Bishop Montgomery for a 41-38 victory. Price finished with a team-high 12 points and Nyingifa had eight points and 16 rebounds .
