Praise for Connerly

Re “His Tenure’s at the Finish Line, but for Connerly, Race Goes On,” Jan. 21: What a big loss to the University of California and the state that Regent Ward Connerly is leaving his post.

I share Connerly’s views against affirmative action and want to thank him for speaking out so eloquently and forcefully about the harm affirmative action brings to our society as a whole and the very “minority people” it intends to protect.
