Taking home art in photo form

GREAT piece about ordering vacation photos [“Sharing Vacation Photos Is as Easy as Aim, Shoot and Upload,” the Internet Traveler, May 29].
Something else to consider is a growing trend that is troubling because of the ease and quality of digital cameras. A typical example is a vacationer who doesn’t buy art but chooses to shoot it instead, then asks my photo enlargement business to enlarge it.
Sometimes they just take photos of T-shirts and collectible keepsakes that they used to buy. A photo memory instead of a purchase means that retailers too are affected.
It’s our policy not to process photo enlargements that are blatantly intended to get works of art for free. Hope these added insights are helpful.
