Yahoo, UC Berkeley Plan Web Research Lab

Yahoo Inc. said it would open a research lab with UC Berkeley to develop Internet technologies such as Web searching and the sharing of online content.

The lab, located near the Berkeley campus and principally funded by Yahoo, is scheduled to open in August.
