From Times Wire Reports
Fifty-two prisoners at the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, have declared that they are on a hunger strike, Pentagon officials said.
They have refused at least nine meals over the last three days in protest of their continued detention, officials said.
The detainees refusing meals have been given intravenous hydration, sports drinks, water and nutritional supplements, the officials said. Some may be hospitalized.
